Ionia I.M. Hope Safehouse – 26 Bed Tier I Emergency Safehouse Designed to protect women and children from abusive living situations and assist homeless women and their children. Safehouse access is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provides counseling and advocacy opportunities for residents. Some of the services available to residents include:

Montcalm Homeward Bound Shelter – 8 Bed Tier II Shelter Homeward Bound is designed to provide next-step housing for families leaving Tier I emergency shelter. This program offers a 45-90 day shelter stay, counseling, advocacy and comprehensive case management leading to:

Non-Residential Domestic & Sexual Violence Services Non-residential services are designed to provide both adult and child victims and their families counseling and advocacy services. Participants are provided services at various locations throughout Ionia and Montcalm counties. Services offered are much the same as resident services and include:

24-hour Crisis Line (800)720-SAFE(7233) The crisis line is connected to both the National Domestic Violence Hotline as well as the National Sexual Assault Hotline and is designed to provide 24-hour immediate information, assistance and referrals to individuals in need.

Adult Counseling Program Designed to provide adult victims of sexual or domestic violence with confidential opportunities to talk, express their feelings and emotions, reflect and ask questions on the issues surrounding their situation. Counselor/advocates meet with victims, survivors and or loved ones of survivors at any stage of the crisis or healing process. Children’s Empowerment Program Designed to provide children who experience and/or witness domestic and sexual violence an opportunity for healing. This program is designed for children from 4 to 17 years of age. Counselor/advocates specializing in either domestic violence or sexual assault meet with children and provide counseling or therapy that may include:

Domestic Assault Response Advocacy Team (DARA) The DARA team is a crisis response team designed to provide volunteer advocates who respond to the secured scene of a domestic or sexual assault. This project is a joint effort between RAVE-I/M, Inc., the Ionia and Montcalm County Prosecutors and the Ionia and Montcalm County Sheriff Departments. The advocates are dispatched through law enforcement officers and trained to provide on the scene emergency crisis response and intervention to victims of assault. DARA advocates provide an array of services that include:

Speakers Bureau The community education and prevention Speakers Bureau is designed to provide presentations and trainings throughout both counties. These speaking engagements are provided to various audiences which include numerous middle and high schools, local service groups, law enforcement agencies, human service agencies as well as the general public. Presentations or trainings range from very brief to all day. Topics include but are not limited to:
